Retrofits to existing systems

Repository retrofits are fairly commonplace as the need to optimise collection storage becomes more important.

In some cases retrofits can satisfy criteria for public access and for retrieval and rotation systems.  However, a more common cause for retrofit requirements tends to be a result of budget shortages as part of a larger construction project.

For professionals who take the funding route in order to get storage facilities improved upon or a new store built, unfortunately the all too common scenario is that the budget does not allow for an in-built-contingency plan.  As a result, should the cost of construction increase, the obvious outcome is that the budget set aside for storage systems gets consumed by building works and other services.

Luckily, most storage partners should be able to install your existing system as part of your new store, whilst creating their own design to provide the option of future retrofits as and when your budget allows.
